Desktop actions (in beta): let viewers trigger moments on your PC

How it works

Desktop actions need one extra step: the Windows companion.

  1. Install the Windows companion and sign in.
  2. Choose the application the actions should target, such as your game.
  3. Pick which actions viewers can buy and set a price for each.
  4. Start controls when you're ready. Viewers can now buy actions from your page.

Safety first

Only the actions you configure can be bought, and only while controls are running. You can stop controls in the app at any time, or press the emergency shortcut to cut them off immediately mid-stream.

Ideas for actions

Keep actions short and harmless so they're funny, not frustrating.

  • A jump or crouch key press
  • A short volume drop or boost
  • A weapon swap at the worst possible moment

Do I need it?

No. Everything else on Pop A Lime runs in the browser and through OBS. The companion is only for creators who want viewers to trigger desktop actions.
